Artistic Tile Advertisement

I have chosen an ad for Artistic Tile because it  has a picture of a very pretty lady on it while she has nothing to do with tiles.  The woman is Caucasian, around 20 years old, has wavy dark brown hair, silvery blue eye shadow, and jeans. Her earrings and shirt look like they are diamond shaped tiles made with the same color as her eye shadow.  Her midriff is bare and you can tell there is no way the woman is wearing a bra.  I believe she is holding onto a bar on the wall behind her.  She looks as though she is ready to go to the club.  She is the shape nearly every woman in the work would want to be and every man would dream of.  The advertisement says, "Style, selection and service, the complete ensemble" which makes me think she is a call girl.  At the bottom of the ad it says, "Let us fashion your dreams" which leads back to the woman men would dream about.  Artistic Tile is mostly around New York and New Jersey however they do have retailers all over the United States.  After doing some research, I think that most people who are intended to look at this would be white men and women between 25 and 45.  Most of the target audience would be New York and New Jersey,  single or married since they both decorate homes.  They would be college graduates with great careers because they would need to be to purchase these items.  They are amazing tiles that would make any room in a house look like you are well off.  I think the reason the woman is in the ad is because if someone is flipping through a magazine and they saw a bathroom with these tiles, they would probably just keep flipping, however with this provocative woman on it most people would stop thinking they were selling the clothing, or sex.

Who I am!

My name is Cristina Ascheman and I am a very busy 35 year old mother of two teenage daughters, and one nine year old son.  I work two jobs, and go to school full time so I have very little free time.  I have been at Red Lobster for about 9 years and worked with computers for about 3 years, out of the 12 years I have lived in Saint Joseph.  I came from a town that was so small, we shared a high school with two towns.  We were the mustangs although we had cows in the field in front of our school.  I hated high school so I did not do well in my classes, and I did not feel as if my teachers cared much about my grades.  I love to read books about vampires and other supernatural things, so yes, I am a Twilight nerd.  I just discovered my last semester that miss being able to read and I do enjoy writing.  I find that with having two teenage daughters it can be very therapeutic to write down my feelings.  I sometimes have a hard time with how to word things, but still try to do the best I can.   I want to get as much input as possible from anyone that will read my papers.  Growing up I always wanted to be a nurse and that is what brought me to Missouri Western.  I plan to get as much as I can out of my college education while attending school here.
